Under the apple tree

I got myself inspired into drawing this when I searched for more Mario crossovers, and then I wondered why was My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic so popular recently. How about pairing the iconic video game plumber with one of the main chars in MLP:FiM?

To some Mario/MLP fans, they would pair Applejack with Mario due to similarities, such as athleticism, hard-working, friendly, and holds a rivalry between their respective blue speedsters. And I somehow agreed with them.

Despite drawing this, I'm not a fan of the series yet, nor am I one of those so-called "bronies." I did watch one episode first, but didn't get to continue due to other personal activities.
