A bit surprising, isn't it? Well, this idea got stuck into my head when trying to find some good Mario crossovers. Then, this struck me upon seeing some Touhou-Mario crossover pics. Also decided to give Mario my favorite power-up in SMG2, the Cloud Suit.
About the pic: (I'm not too good with story writing, but decided to shorten it)
Mario, in a cloud suit, meets a red-white girl flying around the sky when he was in the same place, resting for awhile, and is awed at the sight that the human girl could actually fly without any wings. The red-white maiden, or miko, then sees a man sitting on top of a cloud (actually made by him through his power-up), and, in turn, is also astonished at the rare sight. Seeing the uniqueness of each other, the two made friends. Mario, showing his sympathy to the miko Reimu Hakurei upon hearing from her that no one in her homeland donates to her and her shrine, was kindhearted enough to give Reimu a small bag of coins, all from his world. Extremely satisfied about what she received, Reimu gladly thanked Mario for being ever so kind to donate her, and flies off back to her own world, bidding farewell to Mario, while Mario, also bidding farewell to Reimu, jumps all his way, from cloud to cloud, to his own world.

One more thing: I'm not really a fan of Touhou Project, but my first time in drawing a character from the series.
